Youth Retreat

The National Retreat for Youth Affected by HIV/AIDS allows teens aged 16-21 to come together for a four-day life skills retreat in the comfortable and supportive camp setting. From resume-building workshops and discussions about personal health, to writing and balancing a checkbook, the participants gain skills and learn about resources to help them become successful, independent adults.

During the retreat, youth are paired with year-round staff "coaches" to identify specific goals the teen would like to achieve in the coming year and beyond. The coaches and teens communicate by phone, email, or in person each month to discuss progress and plan steps needed to achieve goals.
