Life Enhancement Programs
Acceptance, support, encouragement, unconditional friendship… these are all things everybody, especially children, need to lead happy, confident lives. But for some campers, Camp Heartland is the only place they are able to make these important connections with other people who understand what they are going through.
To keep those connections strong year-round, Camp Heartland's Life Enhancement Programs are designed to help campers stay connected to the Camp Heartland community, even when they are not at camp. Through birthday and get well presents, camper newsletters, phone calls, holiday mailings and more, campers are constantly reminded that they are part of a permanent community, and that the supportive relationships they built at camp are still strong.
