Meet Some of Our Speakers

"HIV is a mind disease, if you think of life you have life, and if not you struggle through life. I speak so that people will know that there is life after HIV. Bringing hope to others is something I know I was destined to do." - Ashely, age 16, Detroit, Michigan (born with HIV and lost both parents to AIDS)

"I have faced plenty of prejudice about my disease, but I have been able to handle it because I am surrounded by people who love, protect and support me. I talk to people about the disease because it needs to be stopped, and it will be stopped...all you need is HOPE!" - Kaitlyn, age 12, East Helena, Montana (born with HIV)

"I was infected with HIV at birth because of a blood transfusion my mother had more than 18 years ago. I have struggled with keeping my HIV a secret from my friends. You never know if they will still be your friends or if their parents will let them be your friend. I want to rid the world of prejudice. My dream is to become an inventor, doctor or scientist." - Joshua, age 10, St. Louis, Missouri (born with HIV)
