Camp Heartland Trillion Penny Drive

Camp Heartland ’s Trillion Penny Drive commemorates World AIDS Day (December 1) to honor and remember those individuals living with HIV/AIDS.  There are currently 40 million people in the world who are infected with HIV/AIDS.  Millions more are friends, children, cousins, mothers, fathers, siblings, and grandparents to those who are infected with HIV.  World AIDS Day gives us an opportunity to recognize the global impact of AIDS & to honor those who are directly affected by the virus.

Camp Heartland ’s Trillion Penny Drive mobilizes students, businesses, and community organizations to make a difference in the fight against the spread of AIDS and enhance the lives of AIDS-impacted youth simply by collecting change.

Instead of throwing your pennies in your car, apartment, purse, or house – you can donate them to Camp Heartland . Set out a bucket, jar, or wander your dorm halls or workplace and encourage people to give. Your loose change can help us provide ongoing year-round support to children impacted by HIV/AIDS and reach out to thousands of people across the country with vital HIV/AIDS prevention and education messages.

The Trillion Penny Drive encourages participants to be creative. You can download some great ideas for maximizing your fundraising and for initiating Penny Wars within your schools, organizations and businesses.
