Camp Rental | Heartland Partners

When Camp Heartland is not using our facility for our own purposes we have rented our site out to numerous non-profit organizations, corporations and families for camp sessions, retreats and family reunions.

Recently, a number of organizations have asked Camp Heartland to not only provide our facility and food service, but to share our 12 years of camping, medical and social work expertise to help them establish and implement their own camping programs. The result was the birth of Heartland Partners.

In 2004, Camp Heartland welcomed the first Heartland Partners agency – Family Focus, which provides foster care, home-based counseling and other services to children and adolescents. "Children dealing with AIDS have many behaviors and experiences that parallel what our young people are faced with. It seemed like a natural fit. We are so happy to be working with Camp Heartland to provide an amazing camping experience to our clients, " said Deborah Langer, Executive Director of Family Focus.

Camp Heartland will continue to welcome new Heartland Partners in the future , and in doing so will be serving hundreds of additional underserved children every year.

For many years to come, Camp Heartland will remain a leader in camping, care and life planning for children and young adults impacted by HIV/AIDS. And as we enter our second decade of service, we are thrilled that we will now be able to make a difference for many additional children who desperately need unconditional love and support.  Because of poverty, isolation, misunderstanding and prejudice, these children are on the "fringes of society" and Camp Heartland's Heartland Partners program can help bring them into the mainstream.
